California Vacation!

Its a new year. It's been a while I didn't have time to update my blog because I so busy last holiday season and got tired from our vacation. It was fun vacation I got to see and spend time with my bestfriend and my cousin and his family. California is a little bit pricey compared here in Wisconsin so all in all were broke LOL. But its fine because we have so much fun site seeing and driving accross Ca. We drove from San Francisco all the way down to San Diego and we did good because of Ms. Garmin our (GPS), she really help us a lot most of the time. We drove through mountains, ocean, fields with lots of grapes, hills, bridges, desserts and cities. I think we drove more than 1000 miles and our little guy did great on our trip. I like driving on highway 1 este my husband did, I just love the sight seeing on the highway being in the hill road and 10 feet away from the ocean and sorrounded by bald mountains lol. We went to hearst Castle, Alcatraz prison, Golden Gate, Disneyland, etc. We missed the universal studios and winchester mansion that we love to see but it's fine save it for next time. Christmas Choir

This year I join the Christmas choir at our church. We already practice three times and tomorrow Sunday we will present in both services. I had fun doing it since I love singing plus at the same time worship Jesus. I love worship songs and Christmas songs so why not showing it to public lol. Though I am not a great singer but I can sing good enough specially with somebody else:). But no guts to sing by myself in front of many people. Lucky me because the person next to me is the pastor's wife which is she sings well so I can just copy the way she sing so I also feel like I'm a really good singer lol. So wish me luck for tomorrow guys and have a Merry Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.

Christmas Vacation

We screwed up our vacation to California. Our plan is to go their this December 27 to January 4th. We already booked the airline ticket last October. We are going to visit my bestfriend Jamie and my cousin in California. So time is getting closer I have to finalize everything as we plan. I look at our email today about our iterinary and in my surprise the plane ticket that my husband booked couple months ago was not on dec. 27 but on dec. 23. Man! I think when my husband called the airlines and made reservation the person his talking to made a mistake on putting the date. I look at it before when we receive the email but I didn't notice the date just today I caught it. We tried to call the airlines if we can change but we have to pay $600 or more for charge and theirs no available seat for dec. 27. So I supposed we just gonna have our Christmas in California. And my bestfriend still in the Philippines that time because she gonna go home for emergency. Her Dad died from serious illness so she will go home to attend the funeral and she will be back by dec. 27. Condolence to my bestfriend Jamie and take care on your trip. See you soon.

Hunting Season in Wisconsin

Today is the opening day of deer hunting season in the state of Wisconsin. Deer hunting will last for one week. Most guys up here like hunting as far as I know. It's kinda big thing for most guys especially my husband. He just so excited this morning he woke up so early about 3am to get ready for hunting. He said he need to be in his deer stand before the sun is up or before the deer woke up so the deer won't notice that he was in there. All day long he sat down way up in his deer stand waiting for a deer. Today was freezing cold outside below 30 degrees. Him and his brother hunt on the same woods and he said they were frozen but because they want to shot a buck they sacrifices. I don't know if I can stand 11 hours outside without heater. Luckily my husband got his 5 pionter buck ever. He is so proud because that's the first time he shoot a buck usually he only got doe. Buck is tough to shoot they are really smart and very alert. Most guys really aiming for a buck with huge antlers. It's like that's their trophy of all the sacrifices and waiting in this cold weather.

It is still-hunting season. Couple days ago I went with my husband going hunting for about two hours because I want to see a big buck. Altered Dress

Two weeks ago I bid a dress in Ebay for $8.00 with free shipping. I won the item. The dress looks really cute and simple on the picture. It said on the listing that the length of the dress is 35 inches but when I receive the dress it was only 30 inches. It looks like a dress for a little girl. Way too short for me, I was expecting that the dress would be below the knee not above the knee. It’s still fits good on me because it’s stretchable but I want it longer. So I decided to alter the dress and add some fabric to make it longer. Indeed I did a good job and it looks great on me. I like to wear dress going to church every Sunday.

Treasuring your photos

I love taking pictures a lot. Before I used to do scrap booking but when chance getting bigger. I didn't do it no more because when I do it with him his gonna missed up all the stuff I need. The last time I did scrap booking is our wedding pictures and we did finish it. Now what I did to all the pictures we have is just make it into a photo book online at yorkphoto.com. I downloaded all the pictures and make it into a book. It's nice and faster than scrap booking but of course its not as artistic compared to scrap booking. I also like it I can also pick the background, boarder, layout, caption and theme. I think this is much better and will last longer than just printing each picture for photo album. It's a little bit pricey but I'm sure it will last long and the pictures will be all together all the time. I do it every end of the year so it's all our pictures of family and friend for this year. I just finished making our photo book for my family in the Philippines. My parents love the way I do it. I will send it to them on my (balikbayan box). I'm just waiting for it to come in the mail.

Getting ready for hunting season

My husband took his day off today so we went grocery shopping and bought some stuff for hunting. After shopping we went to the woods and try shooting his new gun that he bought couple months ago. I tried one of his old guns but I didn’t got to hit my target because it's heavy, when I hit the trigger my other hand keeps moving. I like the lighter gun he have because I always hit my target and not that loud. The new one he have I didn't try I got scared it's so heavy and very loud. I cross my hand on that one. So hunters enjoy for this upcoming hunting season.

Winter Season

All right winter season is here. Couple days ago it's started snowing already but its not that much. Today it was freezing cold 24 degrees outside. We didn't get up early for church today we sleep in because of too cold. Our body needs to start adopting this freezing cold weather again. It's time to wear heavy and warm clothing to survive this season. We went to store today to shop for my husband's boots because he doesn't like his old boots any more. Boy! His boots is expensive $89.99 and that's already on sale. I bought a boots for myself couple weeks ago on ebay it was only $12.99 plus $14.99 shipping lol. That's the difference of me and my husbands I am so cheap and end up don't like it. I bought a leopard boots on ebay it looks so nice on the picture but when it arrive I kinda don’t like it. So I plan to sell it back in ebay so I can get my money back. Here's the picture of the boots I bought and tell me what you think? I already have 6 pairs of boots anyway so I really don't need that much but I am just a girl who like to match my outfit if possible :).

Got our plane ticket!

Next month we are going to visit my bestfriend and my cousin in California. We already bought our plane ticket. I was a little upset on the prize of the ticket because the first few times I check it was only $300 plus but later on it becomes $400 plus each. If only I know it will go up I suppose to buy it that time. But oh well forget the money for now because I'm excited for the trip. Finally I can go to California after 3 years here in the US and spend time with my bestfriend. We will stay there for 8 days. It's gonna be fun!

Lately we take care of a cute little puppy from our neighbor because chance likes it. He had fun playing with the puppy. They keep chasing each other all over the house and chance just keep laughing. They just funny so I took a picture when chance read a book to the puppy. When the puppy won’t look at on the book he will pull the puppy’s head close to the book. My husband said we should get a puppy for chance but I just don’t like having a puppy always inside the house because of the fur. Everytime there’s a dog in the house I feel like theirs a fur in my throat all the time and makes me keeps spitting. Sometimes is just fine but not all the time. I didn’t say I don’t like dogs I like them their cute but I just can’t handle there fur all the time.

Hunting a deer not a bear!

Our neighbor came to our house and tells me what happen to him when he went deer hunting this afternoon. He said he sat down by the big tree and just patiently waiting for some deer to come out. Until he hear something walking towards him from the other side of the tree. So he got excited and just keep waiting until it come closer to him and about 2-3 feet he face it but it wasn’t a deer it’s a big black bear. He said he was so scared and almost has heart attack because the bear is almost as big as he is. The bear was scared too at him and run fast away from him. That was just funny and scary!:)

This time of crisis it doesn’t mean that we have to stop buying stuff for ourselves specially our daily needs. Of course we still have to buy some thing but wisely. I consider myself as a wise shopper. If I buy something it has to be affordable that is on my budget. I usually don’t buy expensive or popular brand name products, as long as the quality are great and looks good and comfortable on me that’s enough. Those are the only important things anyway it doesn’t have to be expensive to have a luxury life. As long as you have all the things you need and happy on what you have. That way you can save money for some other things. My husband and I do our shopping online most of the time because there is a lot of choices and great deals we can find. We don’t have to drive store to store to compare prizes so with that we can save lots of gas money. Plus some store online offer shipping discount if you buy more than one product from their store. Candies for trick or treat!

Today I went to store to buy some bag of candies for tomorrow’s trick or treat. Boy I thought it was cheaper today to buy a candy but it double the prize than last week. I have to buy lots of candies because theirs gonna be lots of kids trick or treating in our house because we live across the fire department and all kids go there then afterwards go to our house. I remember last year I run out of candies so we have to close all the lights in our house and just went to our friends house so if there's somebody knocks our door were not there:). But tomorrow maybe chance and I and my sister-in-law with her kids go trick or treat for a little bit so we get our candy and chocolate back:). Then if I have a lot I put it in my (balikbayan box) for Philippines:).

Lunch @ China Buffet

Today is my husband's day off so we have lunch outside at the China Buffet. They always have good food. One thing I like about china buffet is you can eat every food they have for only $6.45 and you don't need to give tips because it's a buffet so it's serve your own but we still leave few dollars on the table to clean it. Just give a respect to waitresses plus that's the American way to give tips. Even thought I'm not American but I live in this country so I have to go with the flow. When I plan to eat at china buffet I won't eat that much breakfast so I can eat a lot at the buffet lol. Before we get there we are so hungry and get lots of food and end up can't eat all the food we get and just go to waste because at the buffet you can't bring home left over but if it's allowed I will get lots of food lol. I feel bad because I know there is a lot of people all over the world that is starving. Now what I do is just get some and just get some more later when I still want to eat. Today I'm giving my husband a lesson because he always get two full plate of food because he gets so tempted with all those yummy food and just end up not eating the other plate because he have enough.
